Being a celebrity is rough

Do you ever feel like a celebrity and your kids are the Paparazzi? I love them and I'm lucky to be able to stay home with them but do they have to want me all the time? Scott got up with them this morning and when I got up they were already having breakfast. I sat on the floor on the other side of the loveseat where they couldn't see me just so they would eat. Natalie finally found me but I spoke to her in a whisper so Alyssa wouldn't hear me. Scott said everytime I whispered she got very still and just looked around. I swear it's like being hunted. Can you imagine what it's like to be hunted by the real Paparazzi?

Toilet humor

So this morning as Alyssa was walking around the house with some pieces from her Weeble Wobble treehouse we all decided we had to go to the bathroom (because we're all girls and we all know girls have to go in groups). We all go in and Alyssa immediately throws one of the toy pieces into the toilet. Natalie is slightly horrified by this. So I'm getting ready to delicately pluck the toy from the water in a way that will keep my fingers as dry as possible and as soon as I make my move Alyssa FLUSHES THE TOILET! So now Natalie is screaming in horror as I have to stick my whole hand in the toilet and fish for this stupid thing before it gets sucked down. You would not believe the screams coming from Natalie over this. I think she may be traumatized. The toy has now been through the dishwasher and my hand is as clean as I can get it without using toxic chemicals. And sadly this is probably the most exciting thing that will happen today.

The Insanity of Our Life

So, I normally don't have much to say but occassionally I come out with a story (which usually has to do with our daughters) that is so funny my husband says I should write it down. That said, I will try to share funny stories and anything odd, interesting or just unbelieveably absurd that we may experience on any particular day. Enjoy!
